Bridge to Freedom

A community based recovery programme delivered one afternoon a week in each location (currently Leith, Moredun & Gorebridge) with accompanying one to ones with the Community Recovery & Resettlement Worker, Joe. The service is comprised of a rolling programme of 45 recovery group sessions over the course of a year without any requirement to be admitted to a residential facility. This service is for men and women aged 18 years and over suffering from substance addiction who are looking to commence and establish abstinence and make positive changes in their lives. Prospective participants will be either abstinent or motivated towards achieving abstinence and long-term recovery. Participants need to be ready and willing to examine current or past substance use or other addictive behaviour in a group environment and be willing to make changes, which will result in improvements in substance use / addictive behaviour. Those attending the groups and individual sessions should consider themselves comfortable with the Christian ethos of the programme. However, there is no expectation of personal belief or faith and the project works with all prospective clients, irrespective of protected criteria. Mondays Leith 2-4pm Thursdays Moredun 2-4pm Fridays Gorebridge 2-4pm
